Evelyn Long Dalton

Mrs. Evelyn Long Dalton, 92, of Pfafftown, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2009. She was born April 21, 1917 in Forsyth County to Oliver E. and Lela Dull Long. Mrs. Dalton was preceded in death by her husband, Jasper Louis Dalton; five sisters and four brothers. Surviving are two daughters, Peggy Pierce (Ed) of Lewisville and Judy Oliver (Richard) of Winston-Salem; one son, Gary Dalton (Carolyn) of Jonesville; one sister, Nellie Joyner of Tobaccoville; seven grandchildren, Mark Pierce, Karen Williams, Sharon Isgette, Todd Dalton, Beverly Creed, Chad Dalton, Jason Decker; eleven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, May 31, 2009 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Leon Wishon officiating. Burial will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour before the service.
