Evelene Orrell Johnson

Mrs. Evelene Orrell Johnson went to be with her Lord, early Friday morning November 7, 2014 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born on April 10, 1924 in Forsyth County to the late Luther Orrell Sr, and Emma Peters Orrell. Evelene loved the Lord with all her heart and was a devoted wife and mother. She was a member of Worldwide Church of God, a local Real Estate Agent, and retired from R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. She was preceded in death by her Husband George W. Johnson, Jr and a brother Luther Orrell, Jr. Evelene is survived by her children Morgan Gainor, George W. Johnson III and Shannon J. Harper; five grandchildren, Melinda K. Perrett, Derek G. Johnson, Adam M. Johnson, Sophie M. Gainor, and Izak Gainor; one great-granddaughter Emma Kate Johnson; a sister Mildred A. Orrell; and a nephew, Dale Orrell. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, November 8, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Minister Frank Shepard officiating. There will be a Private Family burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
