Mr. Evangelos 'Evans' Stavros Feredinos, 51, of Salisbury, N.C. passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was born October 31, 1960 in Trovato Evritanias, Greece to Stavros and Sperethoula Ntallis Feredinos. He met his wife in 1985 in Greece, and moved to the United States after they were married. He lived in Michigan and New Jersey before making his way to North Carolina, where he enjoyed the past 19 years. Mr. Feredinos owned Skipper's Seafood and Skipper's Properties in Thomasville, N.C. He truly enjoyed the company of his customers and all those he did business with. He was a calm man who always walked around with a smile on his face, and a nice word to all he encountered. He was committed to his business, his family, and his faith. He was incredibly devoted to his three children, and he did everything with his best friend and love of his life, Lynn. He was passionate and proud of his Greek heritage, and especially loved Greek music. He loved his home in North Carolina where he enjoyed the beautiful outdoors and the kindness of the people around him. He was a gentleman in all occasions, and was always the voice of reason. He was one of a kind, and will be greatly missed. He was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Winston-Salem, N.C. and the Evrytanian Association. Surviving are his wife of 27 years, Lemonia 'Lynn' Margaris Feredinos; three children, Stacy and her husband George Kroustalis, Antia, and Steven; his parents, Stavros and Sperethoula Feredinos; his father-in-law, Elias Margaris; his brothers, Kostas and Stratos Feredinos; his sisters, Giannoula Papadopoulos, Alexandra Christou, and Annetta Christou; and many relatives throughout the United States and Greece. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the Greek Orthodox Church in Winston-Salem with Fr. Demetri Kangelaris officiating. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday at Panagia Prousiotissa Greek Orthodox Monastery in Troy, N.C. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Wednesday at the church with a Trisagion Service at 7:00 PM.
