Evangelist Daniel Hawtree, Sr.

Kernersville – Evangelist Daniel Munro Hawtree, Sr. passed away Saturday, November 23, 2019. He was born in Pittsburg, PA on February 9, 1939 to the late Albert Edward William and AnnaBelle Munro Hawtree. He was a veteran of the United States Airforce, and he was a fulltime preacher of the Gospel for over 50 years, and a part time comedian to those who would listen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia Hawtree, two brothers, Jimmy and Edward Hawtree, and a sister, AnnaBelle Mills.

Surviving are; his son, Pastor Daniel Hawtree, Jr. and his wife Julie, three grandsons, Daniel Munro Hawtree III, Hudson Lee Hawtree, and Caiden Harrison Hawtree, a sister, Shirley “Sparkle” Hawtree, and nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, December 1, 2019 at Kerwin Baptist Church with Pastor Daniel Hawtree officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Dan and Pat Hawtree Memorial Mission House at Kerwin Baptist Church 4520 Old Hollow Rd. Kernersville, NC 27284. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the Hawtree family.
