Evan Wyatt Honaker passed away suddenly on December 26th, 2020. He went to be with his Lord at the age of 24. He was born on September 12, 1996 in Winston-Salem.
He is survived by his loving family, mother, Melonie Martin; father, Larry Honaker; sister, Erin Honaker; nephew, Noah Atkins; sister, Kayla Decker (Kirk Decker); brother, Matthew Morgan (Annette Hobbs); loving partner, Micaela Thompson; kids, Piper and Chloe; grandmothers, Janie Martin and Sue Hall Honaker; and many family and friends.
Evan was a light to anyone who knew him. He was taken too soon. He was loved by so many people in this world. To know Evan was to know love. Evan had an undeniable gift of knowing when strangers were in need. He was a keeper and a protector of the ones he loved. May his body and soul be at rest in Heaven.
A celebration of Evan’s life will be held Friday, January 1, 2021 at 3 PM at Hanes Baptist Church.
In loving memory:
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends (John 15:13)
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me (Psalms 23:4)
