Evan Patrick Bock, 24, of Clemmons, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2014.
Evan was born March 12, 1990. A straight A student at Forsyth Technical Community College, he was on the Dean's List as well as the owner of Bock Landscapes, Inc. Evan enjoyed fishing and loved to drive his truck. He was a member of Hope Moravian Church. There were two things in life that he was especially passionate about - the first of those was Duke basketball and the second was volunteering. He participated in many events to raise awareness for domestic violence and several other causes. Evan is predeceased by his brother, Jarrod Bock; grandfathers, Theodore Bock and Gary Dickerson; and aunt, Kellie Dickerson.
Evan is survived by his mother and stepfather, Leslie Bock and David Hjelm; father and stepmother, Terry Bock and Tracy M. Bock; brothers, Christopher Michael Bock and Eric Christopher Bock; grandmothers, Charline Smith and Ruth Bock; grandfather, Wayne Smith; aunts, Christine Cox, and Darr Bock; uncles, Steven Dickerson, Scott Dickerson, Richard Cox, and Ted Bock; great aunt, Anita Stickel; numerous cousins and other family members; and his beloved dogs, Diablo and Rosie, and guinea pig, Henry.
A celebration of Evan's life will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 1 pm at Hope Moravian Church, with Rev. Andrew Heil officiating. Burial will follow in the church graveyard. The family will receive friends Friday, August 22, 2014 from 6 - 8 pm at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
