WINSTON-SALEM-Mrs. Eva Mildred Coleman Widener, 84, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Monday, November 26, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born on September 5, 1928 in Davidson County, NC to the late Thomas Vaughan and Florence Ward Coleman. Eva was a member of Freeman St. Baptist Church in Winston-Salem. She was a devout caregiver for her mother for many years during her illness. Eva was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Along with her parents, Mrs. Widener was preceded in death by her husband, Glen James Widener, three brothers, Frank Coleman, Donald Coleman, and Clifton Coleman; and two nieces, Janice Gregory and Rhonda Andrews. Surviving Mrs. Widener are her daughter, Alice Rebecca Widener Jackson (Jack) of Winston-Salem; one granddaughter, Miranda Nicole Wall (David) of Winston-Salem; a great-granddaughter, Sierra Maleile Bauguess; one great-grandson, Collin Allen Bauguess; one sister, Emma Lee Moore of Mocksville, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Freeman St. Baptist Church with Pastor Bob Whitaker officiating. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
