Eva Mabe Tesh

Mrs. Eva Mabe Tesh, 88, of Lexington passed away Saturday, August 15, 2009 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born August 18, 1920 in Stokes County to John and Jettie Rogers Mabe. Mrs. Tesh was a member of Arcadia United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Ladies Fellowship and the Sharing/Caring Organization. She delivered Meals on Wheels, and was active in nursing home visitation for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Tesh; a son, Sam Tesh; and fifteen brothers and sisters. Surviving is a daughter, Carol Boles of King; a son, John Tesh and wife Mary of Midway; two grandsons, Spencer Boles of Winston-Salem and Anthony Boles and wife Shannon of King; five great grandchildren, Lindsay, Hayden, Meredith Boles of Yadkinville, Sarah and Spencer Boles of King; and a special friend, Deborah Brock of Advance; five sisters-in-law, Neva Mabe of Walkertown, Opal Mabe of Phoenix, Arizona, Bobbie Mabe of Emerald Isle, Lucille Hill of Arcadia, and Elizabeth Burke of Winston-Salem. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 19 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with the Rev. Patrick Marion and the Rev. Alvin Pope officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
