Eunice Mae Smith Rogers

RURAL HALL Mrs. Eunice Mae Smith Rogers passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at her home. She was born December 18, 1932 in Stokes County to the late Lessie Fulp Smith and Odell Smith. Mrs. Smith was a cosmetologist and retired from AT&T. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Leigh Rogers; and two brothers, Doss and Dannie Smith. Surviving are her three children: Elbert Rogers Jr. of Germanton, Rickey Edwin Rogers of Rural Hall and Jeannette Carlton of King; three grandsons; three granddaughters; two sisters, Susie Mabe of Walnut Cove and Peggy Thompson of Rural Hall; and special friends: Suzy & Ernest Bowles, Betty Smith, Ruby Cook, Dahna Young, Diana Ross and Sabrina Hitcher. A graveside service will be conducted 3:00 p. m. Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Hard Bank Family Cemetery on Piney Grove Church Road in Danbury with Pastor Rick Craig officiating.
