Eula Harper Spease

Mrs. Eula Harper Spease was called home on Saturday, July 13, 2024. She was born in Forsyth County on October 6, 1928, the daughter of the late Shirley Lee and Ruth Pitts Harper. Mrs. Spease retired as an executive secretary from R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company with 40 years of service. She was also a member of the Forsyth County Extension Homemakers for 30 years. She was proceeded in death by her husband of 40 years Carl Edward Spease; a brother, Samuel L. Harper; nephews, Greg Harper and Larry Spease and a niece Karen Harper. Eula and Edward were both devoted members of Boyer’s Chapel Church of Christ.

She is survived by a brother, Richard H. Harper, Sr. (Brenda); a sister, Flora Ruth Harper Forbus; sister-in-law, Tannie Jean Harper; nieces and nephews, Lynda Harper, Lori Craft (Darren), Richard Harper, Jr. (Ann), Teresa Hobson (Gray), Michael Forbus (Shady), William Spease (Karen) and Brian Spease (Missy); great nieces and nephews, Brittany Webb (Tyler), Austin Craft (Peyton), Lauren Crook (Tim), Jake Harper, Nick Harper, Tucker Harper, Katie Law (Doug), Stone Forbus (Carley) and Pebbles Forbus; great- great nieces and nephews, Lacey, Cole, Mason Crook and Grayland Webb.

The family would like to give thanks for the Hospice care that she received.

Also special thanks to her “Dedicated Care Givers” for the great care they gave Eula, Teresa C., Mary, Janice, Karen, Vickie and Teresa D.

The family would also like to say thank you to Eula’s special friend, Linda Reid and wonderful neighbors, Anne & Greg Epting.

The funeral service will be conducted at Boyer’s Chapel Church of Christ at 11:00 am Wednesday, July 17, 2024. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 – 11:00 am prior to the service. Officiating the service will be Mr. Joel Morris and Mr. Rick Mann.
