Eugene Gene Felton Mote

Mr. Eugene ""Gene"" Felton Mote, 62, of Winston-Salem passed away May 29, 2010 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born March 21, 1948 in Dalton, GA to Eugene Debbs Mote and Allynee Moody Hendren. He was preceded in death by his father. Mr. Mote was a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served as a medic in Vietnam. He was a horse trainer and was a drummer for many bands throughout his life. He will always be remembered as a free spirit who loved life. Mr. Mote is survived by his mother, Allynee M. Hendren of the home; two brothers, William M. Mote of the home and David L. Mote, Sr. and wife Tery of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; a sister, Carol Mote Phillips of the home; Love of his life, Ginger Little of Archdale, NC; nephews, David L. Mote, Jr. and Erik P. Phillips; a niece, Dana F. Williams and numerous cousins. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Becks Baptist Church with Dr. Ray Hamilton officiating. The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice for all their loving care and concern.
