Eugene Allan Lahman

WINSTON SALEM – Eugene “Gene” A. Lahman, 92, passed away Monday, August 5, 2024. Gene was born in Keyser, WV to Dewey Wade and Maggie Moore Lahman. He was a devoted husband and father. He retired from the US Navy and the Postal Service after many dedicated years of service. Gene loved his movies and fishing. He had a boisterous laugh that was contagious and wonderful sense of humor. Family and friends were near and dear to him; he would help anyone who needed a helping hand. He was a wonderful man and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Eugene was preceded in death by his first wife of 58 years, Yasue “Kitty” Lahman; his second wife, Nancy L. Lahman; brothers and sisters, Laura, John, Opal, Mary, Thomas, David, Harry and Paul.

Surviving are children, Mark Lahman and Patricia Watt; three grandchildren, Maison Lahman, Brianne (Nate Maxwell) and Shelby (Matt Philbrick); and one great granddaughter, Lucy Maxwell.

Gene will be laid to rest at Pleasant View Memory Gardens in Kearneysville, WV on August 9, 2024 at 11 AM.
