Eugene Stone Kirkland

Eugene Stone Kirkland 88, passed away at his home early Thursday morning October 8, 2009. Eugene was born in Quincy, Massachusetts on May 15, 1921 to the late William and Edith Stone Kirkland. He was a member of First Christian Church and the Masonic Lodge. Eugene served in the US Coast guard during World War II. He earned his associate degree in engineering from Northeastern University. He is survived by his wife Bette Warren Kirkland; two daughters Edith Clooney of Billerica, MA, and Eugenie Kemp, Irmo, SC; six grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. A Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, October 10, 2009 at Forsyth Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Mike Simpson officiating. Entombment will follow.
