Etta Binkley Fulp

Kernersville - Mrs. Etta Binkley Fulp passed away August 5, 2016 at her residence. She was born April 6, 1927 in Forsyth Co. to the late Annie Manuel Binkley and Harry Monroe Binkley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas W. Fulp, Sr., a son, James Timothy Fulp.
She is survived by her sister Anne Coffey; son Tom Fulp (Barbara), grandson Wake and great grandson Ryan, as well as nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
Etta Belle enjoyed a good life of family, gardening, church, and many volunteer projects. She gave a great deal of time and talent to Pisgah United Methodist Church in Kernersville. Her fried apple pies, pickles, and other canned goods were legendary at church bazaars. Her service to church mission building teams led her to Mexico and other countries eighteen times. Her years of service to the Red Cross led to many volunteer awards. She retired from AT&T in 1979 and remained active as a lifetime member of the Pioneers helping with many projects.
A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday at Pisgah United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeff Harlow officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Sunday August 7, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel.
