Ethel Canada Nelson

Mrs. Ethel Jeanett Canada Nelson, 79, of Kernersville, passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born February 14, 1935 in Forsyth County to Elmer and Carrie Hines Canada. Mrs. Nelson was a member of Bunker Hill United Methodist Church. She loved working in her yard and with her flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, I.J. Nelson; and a brother, Bobby Canada. Surviving are two daughters, Robin P. Nelson of Charleston, SC and Kelli Hauser and husband Mark of Lewisville; one granddaughter, Patrice Morefield Larson; one great grandchild, Macquela Larson; three brothers, Roger Canada of High Rock Lake, Neil Canada and wife Jackie of Kernersville and Dale Canada and wife Glenda of Kernersville; one sister, Lolene Matthews of Kernersville; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Canada of Kernersville; a special friend, Lydia Hauser of Winston-Salem; and her best four-legged friend, Megan. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 13 at Bunker Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. David Rorie officiating. Our family would like to thank the angels that God put into her life that cared, loved and supported her and the whole family, Dr. Elizabeth Skinner, Allison Perkins, PA, Amber Gilyard and Lorene, the Hospice Home. Also, a special thank you to nurse, Jan and CNA Ricky. She loved you. A special heartfelt thank you to the number one caregiver, Lydia Hauser.
