Mrs. Ethel Sink Myers, 83, went home to be with the Lord on Monday night, August 10, 2009, (1Thess.4:13-18) at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born November 24, 1925 in Forsyth County, the daughter of the late Sidney Lee Sink, Sr. and Winnie Burke Sink. Mrs. Myers was a member of Friedberg Moravian Church and was retired from Sara Lee following 43 years of service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Thomas Henry Myers, three brothers, George Sink, Sidney Lee Sink, Jr., and Ransome Sink and two sisters, Hazel Dorsett and Josephine Bowen. Survivors include three sons, Timothy Wayne Myers and wife, Kay of Lexington, Kenneth Henry Myers and wife, Peggy of Midway and Kermit Gene Myers and wife, Pam of Lexington; one special nephew, Bobby Sellers and wife, Kay of Winston-Salem; six grandchildren, Timothy, Kenneth, Jr., Melissa, Sharon, David and Jennifer; six great grandchildren; three sisters, Ruth Cooper, Helen Bowen and Mary Spradlin; and one brother, Dr. Clay V. Sink. ""Mom, Thank you for taking us to church."" A graveside service will be conducted Thursday, August 13, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. G . Thomas Shelton officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home on Silas Creek Parkway.
