Kernersville – Ethan Lane Creason, 17, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, March 29, 2022. He was born on April 20, 2004, in Forsyth County to Billy Creason and Melissa Thompson Creason. Ethan was a senior at Robert B. Glenn High School where he shared his singing talent as a member of the Concert Choir all 4 years. Inspired by the guidance of Mrs. Carol Earnhardt, Ethan held positions as Lead Tenor and was the Assistant Choir Director for Vocal Point. The Glenn Chorus program was very important to him and became his extended family.
His love for baseball started with the Kernersville Sandlot League of which he was still a part of as a coach and mentor, later playing at Kernersville Little League and the Fall Wood Bat league. He was a 3 year player with Glenn’s junior varsity and varsity baseball team. As a senior, he made the transition to the varsity lacrosse team. Ethan was also honored to sing the national anthem at all home games.
His love for music and performing started at a very young age. He was a very dedicated student of the craft. He received his first guitar for his 13th birthday. He started his journey and was a very quick learner. Within no time he was performing live with his Dad and his Dad’s band and opening shows for them. He quickly grew a devoted fan base and entertained crowds everywhere he played. He was loved by so many people, and he had the biggest heart - often caring more for others than himself. He never turned down a request to play or sing at benefits and fundraiser to help others. Ethan loved God and was active in the Impact Student Ministry at The Summit Church. He was always willing to share his faith with others.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Tommy Thompson.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Melissa Creason (Jody Webster); father, Billy Creason (Audrey); two sisters, Katie Ogburn, and Anna Albury; two brothers, Jamie Albury, and Jason Albury; a niece, McKinlee; a nephew, Abel; a maternal grandmother, Shirley Thompson; paternal grandparents, Toni Bryant, Beverly Creason, Dean Creason, Lisa Swaim, and Eddie Phillips; great grandparents, Billy and Judy Hodges, and Libby York; aunts and uncles, Michael Thompson, Brandon Creason (Amy), Adam Creason (Kelsey), Reid Swaim, Ashley Creason, Jes White (Jonathan) , and a host of cousins and extended family. Ethan was loved by all who knew him.
A funeral service will be held 12:00 PM, Monday, April 4, 2022, at The Summit Church in Kernersville with Pastor Chris Applegate officiating. Entombment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 PM, Sunday, April 3, 2022, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel.
