Esther Lucille Woods

Mrs. Esther Lucille Woods, 86, of Winston-Salem died Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born March 24, 1924 in Peru, IN, the daughter of the late, Frederick W. and Norma Kaufman Becker. Mrs. Woods enjoyed playing bridge and quilt making. She belonged to several bridge clubs. Survivors include her husband of seventy years, Franklin Earl ""Woody"" Woods of the home; four sons, Dan Woods and wife, Barbara of Sacramento, CA, Michael Woods and wife, Suzanne of San Diego, CA, Ted Woods and wife, Penny of Richmond, VA and Craig Woods and wife, Wendy of Ellicott City, MD; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one sister, Mary Helen Field of Colorado Springs, CO; and one niece, Kristen Caylor of Chesterfield, IN. A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, May 22 at 2:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
