Esther McCuiston Reed

Mrs. Esther Glasscoe McCuiston Reed, of Advance, died Friday, January 25, 2013 at Wake Forest Baptist Health. She was born January 12, 1923 in Forsyth County to the late John Harvey Glasscoe and Fannie Bell Linville Glasscoe. Mrs. Reed was a member of Clemmons Moravian Church and was the owner and operator of McCuiston Nursery. She is preceded in death by her first husband Jackson H. McCuiston in 1983, her second husband Eugene Alexander Reed in 2000, a son Richard McCuiston in 1969 and three sisters and three brothers. Surviving are three children, Treva Kay Fuller and husband Stan, Ronnie McCuiston and wife Gail and Jackie Furches and husband John; a special daughter, Vickie Sullivan and husband Chris; 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; two step children, Tommy Reed and wife Tammy and Linda Lynch; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Linda and Jimmy Zimmerman and Jeannette Cook and one God child, Sonja Cornatzer and husband Billy. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, January 28, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel by Rev. Q. Ray Burke. Burial will follow at Clemmons Moravian Church Graveyard. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon to 2:00 P.M. on Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Clemmons Moravian Church, P.O. Box 730, Clemmons, NC 27012.
