Esther Hoskins Medley

Kernersville - Esther Hoskins Medley, 86, passed away April 25, 2009 at Wesley Long Community Hospital. She was born February 28, 1923 in Lee Co. VA to the late George Paschal and Joanna Middleton Hoskins. Mrs. Medley was a Sunday School teacher, a member of the choir at Main Street Baptist Church for 30 years, and a self taught student of the Bible. Esther loved her family, church, gardening and the beauty of nature. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Clement E. Medley, Sr. and her seven siblings. Surviving are; a daughter, Sue Medley of Greensboro, two sons; Clement Medley, Jr. and wife Kathy of Dunn, NC, and Jon Evan Medley and wife Dianne of Louisburg, NC, grandchildren; Jennifer Smar and husband Larry of Alexandria, VA, Christopher Medley of Washington, DC, Jon Paschal Medley, Jason, and David Stein all of the Raleigh area, and a close family friend; Linda Bennetts of Greensboro. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel by Rev. Mike Willard and Rev. Wilson Harmon. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Guilford Memorial Park in Greensboro. Memorials may be directed to Main Street Baptist Church at 126 North Main Street, Kernersville, NC 27284. Condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
