Esther Mason

Esther F Mason, 90, went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 3, 2020 in San Tan Valley AZ.  Esther was born on November 6, 1929 in Laureldale PA to the late Paul and Sallie Fleisher, and grew up in Reading.  She attended Allentown Bible Institute earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology.  She later moved to Kernersville NC where she spent the majority of her life.

Esther was a medical receptionist and scheduler for most of her career.  She was a hard worker and dependable employee in her jobs; and even received a commendation for her exemplary attendance when she retired from Reynolds Health Center.

Esther had a relationship with Jesus her entire life, relying on her faith no matter what obstacle she was facing. Her strength truly came from the Lord!    Esther loved her daughters and would do anything for them.  She adored her 3 grandsons, and was blessed to be able to spend a lot of time with each one when they were young.  She was a member of Kernersville Wesleyan Church for almost 50 years, and developed many wonderful life-long friendships.  Esther was a quiet soft-spoken person, but she had a big heart, and was always willing to help out when there was a need!  Those who knew her would describe her as sweet, generous, and selfless.  She will be missed!

Esther was preceded in death by her father and mother.  She is survived by her 2 daughters, Alice MacKenzie of Florence AZ and Barbara Johnson (Barry) of Winston Salem NC; 3 grandsons John MacKenzie of Brookings OR, Tim White of Winston Salem NC, and Keven White of Raleigh NC; and 2 precious great granddaughters Tova and Reagan MacKenzie.  She is also survived by her sister Ruth Barrett (Ernest) of Reading PA, 2 very special neices Kathy Witman (Ray) and Karen Tommatter, and many great nieces and nephews.

There will be a private graveside service at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory in Kernersville where Esther will be laid to rest. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
