Esther McTeer Crews

Mrs. Esther McTeer Crews, 85, of Winston-Salem, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born October 20, 1928 in Charleston, SC to Harry Daniel and Katherine Knight McTeer. Mrs. Crews was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, giving of herself whenever one of her ""kids"" were in need. She was a natural born decorator. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Stanley Wolfe Crews. Surviving are two daughters, Cynthia Crews Muench and husband Juan of Mebane, Emily Crews Blankenship and husband Gary of Lewisville; two sons, Thomas Scott Crews and wife Judy, Stanley Wolfe Crews III, all of Winston-Salem; six grandchildren, Katherine Muench Sweetapple and husband Jason, Josh Muench and wife Dori, Courtney Crews, Maya Crews, Hannah Koontz and husband Joe, and Sydney Shepherd; four great grandchildren; one sister, Inez Steedley and husband Wheeler of Walterboro, SC; and one brother, Donald McTeer of Edisto Island, SC. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 Friday, August 15, 2014 at Forsyth Memorial Park with the Rev. Tim Wolf officiating.
