Esqueritta 'Rita' Mansfield Biddix

KERNERSVILLE - Mrs. Esqueritta ""Rita"" Mansfield Biddix, 73, died Monday, August 5, 2013 at her home. Esqueritta was born December 23, 1939 in Alamance County to the late Ornual Herman and Betty Lucille Loy Mansfield. Rita worked for Allen Displays for a number of years and was of Baptist faith. Rita enjoyed riding her motorcycle, classic cars, and vacationing at White Lake. She also enjoyed shopping and spending time with her kids and grandkids. In addition to her parents, Rita was preceded in death by one brother, Larry ""Leamon"" Mansfield. Surviving are her husband, Ralph E. Biddix; two daughters, Donna (Clay) Hudson of Kernersville, and Debbie D Martin of Clemmons; two sons, Donald D. and Doug D. Martin both of Kernersville; one sister, Pauline Ferguson of Greensboro; one brother, Leland Ray ""Sonny"" Mansfield of Randleman; six grandchildren, Donnie Martin III, Chelsea Martin, Whitney Holt, Kristen Hudson, Travis Hudson and Desiray Simmons; three great grandchildren, Alexia Martin, Lacey Martin and Hartley Holt. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Jeff Broadstreet officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Gur Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 6, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
