Ernie E. Uber

Mr. Ernie E. Uber, 82, of Winston-Salem passed away Saturday, December 2, 2023, at his residence. Ernie was born in Comanche County, Oklahoma to the late Edgar Frances Uber and Pauline Withrow Uber on July 15, 1941. Mr. Uber was a veteran of the United States Air Force.  After he completed his service with the Air Force, he enrolled at Oklahoma State University and graduated with a master’s degree in electrical engineering.  He worked for Hughes Aircraft Company in California for several years.  Later in life he worked and retired from the ABC Commission of North Carolina. Mr. Uber loved to travel with his loving companion of 30 years Monnie Pressley.  He was a loving “father” to Sharon Pressley and grandfather to Garson Pressley. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his twin brother Vernie Uber and oldest brother Wayne Uber. No formal services are planned at this time.
