Mrs. Ernestine Seal Flinchum, 85, passed away April 25, 2009 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born in Forsyth County to the late Ernest B. Seal and Mabel Swaim Seal. Mrs. Flinchum was a member of Konnoak Baptist Church and a member of the Arcadia VFW Auxiliary Post 10485. She retired from R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. She will always be remembered as a loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great-grandmother. Mrs. Flinchum was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Franklin Flinchum in 1993 and a sister, Pearl Dellinger. She is survived by her son, Terry Flinchum and his wife, Marie; a daughter, Dianne Maxcy and her husband, David; Four grandchildren, Wendy Cox, Gina Proctor, Mark Staley, and Matthew Staley; four great-grandchildren, Danielle, Lane, Katie, and Brandon; two sisters, Lillian Eidson and Lucy Boger. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 3:00pm, Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at Konnoak Baptist Church with the Rev. John Bishop and Dr. Ray Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends following the service.
