Ernest "Ernie" Arnold

Kernersville – Mr. Ernest “Ernie” Deon Arnold, 77, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at his residence. He was born on September 10, 1943 in Eldorado, Illinois to Bernita Arnold. Ernie was a veteran after serving in the United States Marine Corps for 5 years. He had a such a generous spirit and was a caregiver. He would take care of anything that anyone would ever need. Ernie was also always willing to teach someone something new. He enjoyed working with his tools, building, and fixing things for family or friends and was very self-sufficient. He could do it all. Ernie loved to read, watch westerns, military movies, and British TV shows. He was a loving family man who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his father, Earl George; brother, Richard George; and brother-in-law, Trevor Bull.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 52 years, Susan Arnold; daughter, Kimberly Vaughn and son-in-law, Lance; son, Robert Arnold; two grandchildren, Rebekah and Ryan Vaughn; brother and sister-in-law, Dave and Judy Oslack; brothers-in-law, Jeff Bull and wife, Laura, and Steve Bull; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and very close friends.
