Ernest Kiger

Mr. Ernest Leslie Kiger, 88, passed away Friday January 14, 2022 at his home. He was born August 15, 1933 in Forsyth County to the late Ernest Levi Kiger and Alice Tuttle Kiger. Leslie was a member of Jefferson Christian Church in Rural Hall NC and proudly served his country as a member of the 22nd Infantry of the US Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife; Elizabeth Ann Shoaf Kiger, and three brothers; Henry M. Kiger, Bobby R. Kiger Sr., and Ralph V. Kiger. He is survived by his two daughters; Lisa Ann Kiger, Cherri Sutphin Kiger, one son; Jack Kiger (Danajo), three grandchildren; Joshua Ernest Kiger (Tabitha), Caleb Levi Kiger (Darcie), Natasha Erin Donovan (David), three great-grandchildren; Luke Donovan, Hunter Kiger, Sadie Kiger, a sister-in-law; Carell Kiger, and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00AM Friday January 21, 2022 at Jefferson Christian Church with Rev. Steve Cook officiating with interment following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00PM Thursday January 20, 2022 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel.
