Ernest Hall, Jr.

Mr. Ernest T. Hall, Jr. age 79 of Advance, passed away suddenly Monday, December 5, 2022.  He was born January 27, 1943 in Stanly County to the late Ernest Transil Hall, Sr. and Thelma Mauldin Hall.  Mr. Hall had retired from McLean Trucking, and the trucking industry, and devoted his retirement years to caring for the land he loved, making it a beautiful place for his family and friends to enjoy. He is survived by his wife, Edith Hall of the home, one daughter, Ellen McGilp (Ian), one son, Greg Hall (Aimee) and one granddaughter, Kathleen McGilp, His sisters, Carol Hall Tucker (Thomas) and Shelby Hall Hilton (Bremon). He was preceded in death by two sisters Judy Hall Tucker (Donald) and Barbara Hall Lambeth. An avid outdoorsman, Ernest will especially be missed by his closest friends, and hunting and fishing buddies, Rad Barnes, Keith Comer, His Brother In Law Bremon Hilton, his cousin Jimmy Gathins, Nephews Dane Hilton, and Patrick Ridley, and his great Nephew Nick Barber.  A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 PM Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel by Brother Paul Boruta.  The family will receive friends following the service at the home of Mr. Hall.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.    Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com
