Ernest Franklin Ayers, Jr.

Mr. Ernest Franklin Ayers, Jr., 79, of Lewisville passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at his home. He was born September 13, 1934 in Forsyth County to Ernest Franklin Ayers, Sr. and Mattie Martin Ayers. He was a member of New Philadelphia Moravian Church and was retired from RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company. Surviving are his wife, Linda Beauchamp Ayers; a daughter, Brenda Lewis; three grandchildren, Tommy Harris (Joy), a special granddaughter, Casey Harris and Jerry ""Marvin"" Williams; a great granddaughter, Nevaeh; two stepchildren, Tim Summey (Lisa) and Terri Harris (Chuck); and a sister, Betty Jones. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday at New Philadelphia Moravian Church Graveyard with Rev. John Rights officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family would like to thank Dr. Martin Murphy and Hospice and Palliative Care for their care and support.
