Miss Erma Lucille Blakley, 98, of Winston-Salem passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2022. Erma was born in Forsyth County to the late Lee Blakley and Zora McGee Blakley on July 8, 1923. Erma lived in Winston Salem her entire life, she worked for and retired from Southern Bell, traveled extensively with her sister Dovie, and enjoyed spending time with all her nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Erma is preceded in death by sisters Ethel Hudgins, Mildred Rominger, Loraine Fulp, Dovie Blakley, Dorothy Swaim, Louise Blakley, and Brothers Roy Lee & Ned Blakley. She is survived by, Diane (Roger) Linville, Karen Gregg, Ricky (Jan) Swaim, Barbara Brown, Roy Lee Jean) Fulp, Lou Walker, Gary Lee Hudgins, Lynne Hudgins, Lisa A. Brown-Vlaeminck, Kenneth J. Brown III, Tracy Lawson, Casey Boggs, Jeremy Boggs, David & Kelly, and her special friend Barret D. Burge. She was cared for by her devoted caregivers Tressia Allred, Michelle McCormick, Clare Holliday, Gail Fleming, Charissa Green, Carmen Stinson & Felecia Jones. The Blakley family is truly grateful for their loyalty to our Auntie. A private family graveside service will be held at Woodland Cemetery.
