Mr. Ennis Ray Rogers passed away Thursday, November 24, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born December 10, 1931 in Stokes County to Mary Nancy Simmons Rogers and Sanders Matthew Rogers. Mr. Rogers proudly served his country in the United States Navy and retired from Allied Systems with 30 years of service. He enjoyed Nascar and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. Mr. Rogers was of the Methodist faith. Mr. Rogers was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ruby Scott Rogers; one sister and three brothers. Surviving are his stepson, Garry Lineback (Ronda) of Winston-Salem; step-grandchildren, Jason and Mandy Lineback and Kim, Matt, and Andrew Whiteheart. Step-great-grandchildren; Kevin Lineback and Max Whiteheart. Also several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, November 28 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with the Rev. Jim Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, November 27 at the funeral home.
