Emory Morris

Mr. Emory Beford Morris, 80, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at High Point Regional Medical Center.  He was born August 16, 1941 in West Virginia to the late Emory and Glenna McGuire Morris.  Mr. Morris was a very hard worker.  He had several jobs throughout his life including farming fruit trees, builder, minister, newspaper reporter and editor, pilot, professional photographer, private investigator and most recently an operator for the city of High Point.  He loved ancestry and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  Preceding him in death were two brothers, Lester and Samuel Tawney.  Surviving is his wife, Jigie Ramoran Morris; two sons, Andrew Morris (Jenny) and their children, Kate and Lauren Morris and John Morris (Jillian) and their children, Christopher Smith and Austin Morris.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel with Pastor Nancy Cardwell Speaks officiating.  Burial will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
