Emma Witt Crutchfield

Emma Witt Crutchfield, 86, passed away September 22, 2013 at Oak Forest Health & Rehabilitation. She was born April 1, 1927 in Forsyth County to the late Jerry Witt and Mittie Alice Everhart Witt. She was a member of Morris Chapel United Methodist Church. Mrs. Crutchfield was preceded in death by her brothers, Tom, Jack, Donald, and Vernon and her sisters, Dorothy and Myrtle. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Maynard ""Crutch"" Crutchfield. She was always his ""sweetheart"" and her nickname by him was ""Kilowatt"". She is survived by her only child, Susan Hartman and son-in-law, Rick Hartman whom she loved dearly. One of her greatest joys was being ""Nanny"" to her grandsons and great-grandsons, Don Redding, Jr. and wife Heather and Jamie Redding and wife Amy; two great-grandsons, Carter and Chase Redding; a brother, David Witt and a sister, Barbara Holcomb. A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at Morris Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dan Lyons officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Morris Chapel United Methodist Church or to Hospice.
