Emily Claire Workman

Miss Emily Claire Workman, of Winston-Salem, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2015. She was born on June 28, 2013 to her loving parents Travis and Laura Workman. For most of her life, she fought bravely against MPS Type 1 Hurler's Syndrome. Emily will be greatly missed.

Emily is survived by her parents, Travis and Laura Asbury Workman of Winston-Salem; big sister, Ann Marie Workman; maternal grandparents, Suzanne and Dean Asbury of Lexington; paternal grandparents, Susan and Jimmy Workman of Winston-Salem; great-grandparents, Ralph and Willie Sneed, Claude Asbury, Barbara Workman, and Jewel Jolly; aunt, Charity Calandrino and husband Tim; uncle, Jesse Asbury; numerous great aunts, great uncles, and cousins; and special pet rabbit, Puma.

A celebration of Emily's life will be held Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 2pm at Trinity Moravian Church. Interment will follow the service at Salem Moravian Graveyard. The family will receive friends Friday, April 10, 2015 from 6 pm - 8 pm at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
