Emily Davis Shaver

SHAVER
Lewisville - Emily Davis Shaver, 101, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at her home. She was born December 26, 1913 in Buncombe County, NC to the late Stover and Rixie Davis. Mrs. Shaver was the last surviving member of her 11 siblings. She was a member of Lewisville United Methodist Church and was a member of the Grange. Preceding her in death were 11 brothers and sisters. Surviving is a son, Glenn Shaver (Cele) of Clemmons; daughter, Edie Barber (Krider) of Lewisville; three grandchildren, Lisa Barber Cathey, Suzanne Nguyen (Tuan), and Ashley McCormick; five great-grandchildren, Brandi Cathey, Logan and Nick McCormick, and Madelyn and Andrew Nguyen. A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Lewisville United Methodist Church Cemetery with Dr. Ivan Peden officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lewisville United Methodist Church, PO Box 305 Lewisville, NC 27023 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
