Emily Cann Jordan

Mrs. Emily Cann Jordan passed away Thursday evening, September 11, 2014 at Trinity Glen Nursing Home. She was born on August 3, 1920 in South Carolina to the late McKinney and Mimmie Lord Cann. She retired from Sears after 33 years of service. Emily was a member of Winston-Salem Friends Meeting and was very active in church as long as her health permitted. She was preceded in death by her husband Edwin Jordan. Emily is survived by her daughter Faye Swaim and husband Wilburn; son Dale Jordan and wife Cathy; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday September 15, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with grandson Pastor Joseph Swaim and Pastor Philip Raines. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM Sunday evening at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Trinity Glen for their loving care of Emily, for the last three years. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Winston-Salem Friends Meeting.
