Lexington- Mrs. Elva Yokley ""Ebbie"" Shoaf, 90, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington. She was born March 1, 1921 in Davidson County to the late Curtis H. Yokley, Sr. and Nora Nifong Yokley. Mrs. Shoaf was a member of Grace Baptist Temple and retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco with 30 years of service. She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Oscar Hugh Shoaf and two special nieces, Brenda Peddycord and Sharon Cameron. A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Grace Baptist Temple with the Rev. Jim Bush officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Temple Building Fund, 3305 Peters Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem, NC 27127 or Hinkle Hospice House, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Hinkle Hospice House and Hospice Home Care, especially Mary, Melissa, and Robin.
