Elva H. Poss, 81, of Winston-Salem passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2009 of natural causes. She was born in Forsyth County to the late Charles and Hessie Hartman. She was a loving Mother, devoted Grandmother, and overjoyed Great-Grandmother. Mrs. Poss was preceded in death by her husband, Brady Poss, Jr., a brother, Charles Hartman, two sisters, Francis Tutterow and Iris Harp and a great-granddaughter, Victoria Strunsky. She is survived by her sister Annie Sue Cunningham of Wallburg; a daughter, Vicki Strunsky, her husband David, and their children, David Strunsky of Phoenix, AZ and Carrie Strunsky of Charleston, SC; a son, Charles C. Poss, his children Jaime Poss of Winston-Salem and Brady and Matthew Poss of Walnut Cove; a daughter Debbi Garner, her husband Michael Garner, their children, Travis Garner and Samantha Collins, her husband David; a great-grandson, Jackson. She is also survived by her loving dog Blue. Elva was retired from Bellsouth. A funeral service will be held at 10:00am, Friday, March 27, 2009 at Parklawn Memorial Park mausoleum chapel.
