Elnora Whiteheart Wagoner

On December 16, 2009, Elnora Louise Wagoner, 87, was called home by her Lord and Savior with family by her side. She was born December 3, 1922, in a family of ten children to Cicero and Lois Whiteheart. She was pre-deceased by her husband of 58 years, Albert Monroe Wagoner. She is survived and greatly loved by her three daughters Pamela Wagoner of Winston Salem, Candace (Al) Rey of Whitsett, NC, and Patti Weisner (Larry) of Lewisville. She was cherished and very involved in the lives of her grandchildren, grandsons Brandon Hinsdale (Rebecca) and Justin Haste; granddaughters, Kimberly Hinsdale Faucette, (Andy), and Brittany Haste; and three great grandchildren, Davis Faucette, Kennedy Faucette and Lexie Grace Hinsdale. Also surviving are three sisters, Matlyne Southern, Arlene Mayberry (Jack) , and Elsie Daivs (Nelson), brothers Ray Whiteheart (Norma) and Ivan Whiteheart (Shirley). She was predeceased by brothers Sid Whiteheart, Harrison Whiteheart, Grady Whiteheart and Dick Whiteheart and numerous nieces and nephews whom she also loved. She will be remembered for her sweet spirit and care and concern for others. She worked for RJ Reynolds before the birth of her children and retired from Thalhimers. She volunteered in former years at the Rescue Mission, Salem Pregnancy, Piedmont Bible College and Medical Park Hospital. She also opened her home to missionaries and held neighborhood Bible school in her yard. She was an active member of Parkway Gospel Chapel for fifty years, until the last few months of her life. The last three years of her life were spend at Heritage Woods in the independent living where she loved her many friends and the activites they shared, such as bingo, special music and fun. The family wish to thank all the staff and residents of Heritage Woods who added much joy to her life. A private funeral service will be held for family on Friday, December 18th at 2:00 pm at Hayworth Miller Silas Creek Chapel in Winston Salem. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Rescue Mission 717 Oak St, Winston-Salem, NC 27101. Condolesces may be sent on line at www.hayworth-miller.com
