Mr. Elmer Clark Smith, 77, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2015 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born September 18, 1937 in Forsyth County to the late Elmer T. and Rosa Potts Smith. Mr. Smith was a barber at Northside Barber Shop since 1958 and most recently at Old Town Barber Shop. He enjoyed gardening, classic cars, racing, and traveling to the beach. Mr. Smith was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Preceding him in death was a son, Brian Smith. Surviving is a daughter, Karen Smith Hall; three granddaughters, Shannon Wall (Ricky), Kayla Hall, and Miranda Hall; two great-grandsons, Alex and Jacob; great-granddaughter to be, Piper; two brothers, Richard Smith (Gloria) and Jerry Smith (Beverly); also surviving are two sisters, Dorothy Huff (Robert) and Sue Collins (Ray). A celebration of life service will be held 2:30 PM Sunday, May 24, 2015 at Marshall Baptist Church with Pastor John Holmes officiating.
