Ellen Hauser Asbury, 63, of King, NC was called home to be with Jesus Tuesday, January 26, 2021 peacefully while at her home surrounded by her loving family. Ellen was born to the late Donald Hauser Sr. and Irene on January 14, 1958, in Winston Salem, NC. One of the highlights of her life was being able to drive the school bus for Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools while her children attended school. She also spent 10 years working for BB&T where she eventually retired. Her favorite part of retirement was spending time and spoiling all 10 of her grandkids. She is survived by the love her life, Bobby Asbury Jr. and is lovingly remembered by her three children, Amber (Jack) Proper, Chris (Brooke) Asbury, and Travis (Nikki) Asbury and ten grandkids that were the light of her life, Kambreya, Bryson, Tucker, Braxton, Kinsleigh, Brayden, Jackson, Lennox, Lincoln, and Easton. Her siblings Debroah (Tommy) Harden, Andy (Joan) Hauser and Mike (Beth) Hauser. She was preceded in death by her brother Donald “Donnie” Hauser Jr. She will lie in state at Hayworth-Miller in Rural Hall from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm on Friday, January 29, 2021. The graveside service will be held at Mount Peasant United Methodist Church in Tobaccoville, NC on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 12:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Trellis Supportive Care or Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Tobaccoville, NC
