Elizabeth "Sally" Cook

Ms. Elizabeth “Sally” Richards Cook, 95, formerly of Winston-Salem, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2022 at her son’s home in Walnut Cove, NC. She was born July 7, 1927 in Wake County to William F. Richards and Lillie Bunn Richards. Sally was a member of Konnoak Baptist Church and retired as a secretary from Sears, Roebuck and Co. in 1989. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister. Surviving are her two sons, Raymond Cook, Jr. and Brad Cook (Lori); six grandchildren, April Rogers, Michael Cook (Hollie), Kimberly Edmonds (Josh), Lindsay Mertz (Christopher), Aaron Cook (Hannah), and Allison Cook (Jesse) and nine great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel  with Rev. Samantha Wesley officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park.
