Elizabeth Davis Weavil

WINSTON-SALEM - Mrs. Elizabeth Davis Weavil, 89, passed away January 29, 2017 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Weavil was born on May 8, 1927 to the late Lenious T. and Lucy Davis. She was a homemaker, and a long-time member of Saints Delight Primitive Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Weavil was preceded in death by her loving husband Richard; and a sister-in-law, Margie Weavil Manuel. Surviving are a son, Nathan Weavil and wife Jo Ann of Holly Springs, NC; a daughter, Susan Lester and husband Michael of Wallburg, NC; a granddaughter; Michelle Lester Brady and husband Scott; a grandson, Jonathan Michael Lester; a sister, Eva Younts; and a nephew , Gregg Manuel. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Saints Delight Primitive Baptist Church with Elders David Hogan and E.W. Hooven officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel.
