Mrs. Elizabeth ""Lib"" K. Tilley, 82, died Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at Kerner Ridge Assisted Living. She was born February 2, 1929 in Forsyth County, the daughter of the late, Carl Lee and Lucy Ellen Wood Ketner. Mrs. Tilley was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Clemmons where she was Organist and Pianist. She loved baking and decorating flowers and baked cakes for Battle Branch Restaurant. She retired from Avon following many years of service. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Herbert Hoffman; her second husband, Woodrow Tilley; two stepsons, Scotty Tilley and Jerry Tilley; and one step grandson, Jeffrey Tilley. Survivors include her step daughter, Linda Sapp and husband, Jimmy of Winston-Salem; her step daughter-in-law, Joni Tilley of Winston-Salem; a number of step grand and step great grandchildren; her beloved companion, Bubba; and a special friend, Mike Catlett who cares for Bubba. She was a wonderful, strong and loving stepmother for thirty one years. A graveside service will be conducted Friday at 10:00 AM at Centenary United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Roland Barnhardt officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
