Elizabeth 'Lib' Myers

Mrs. Elizabeth ""Lib"" Myers, 76, of Advance passed away Sunday, October 23, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born April 29, 1935 in Yadkin County to William Dempsey and Sallie Myers Myers. Mrs. Myers was retired from R.J. Reynolds with 31 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Eugene Myers. Surviving is her daughter, Carolyn M. Gough and husband Roy of Clemmons; two sons, David Myers of Jacksonville, FL and Richard ""Rick"" Myers and wife Julia of Advance; eight grandchildren: ten great grandchildren; and a sister, Margaret Cummings, of Walkertown. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Elbaville United Methodist Church with Rev. Kirk Tutterow and Rev. Jimmy L. Myers officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4 A Oak Branch Drive, Greensboro, N.C. 27407 or to the Alzheimer's Association, Western Carolina Chapter, 1315 Ashleybrook Lane, W-S, N.C. 27103.
