Elizabeth Hair Lunsford

Mrs. Elizabeth Hair Lunsford, 64, of Winston-Salem, and Kingsport, TN, passed away Friday, December 9, 2011 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Elizabeth was born April 7, 1947 in Cumberland County, NC to William Lacy and Elizabeth Culbreth Hair. She was in the last graduating class of James A. Gray High School in Winston-Salem and was also a graduate of East Tennessee State University. Elizabeth was a partner in the Hoover-Harrison CPA Firm of Kingsport, TN and was a member of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church in Kingsport, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin ""Bud"" Carl Lunsford, Jr. and a son, James Lacy Lunsford. Surviving to cherish her memory are her son, John Marvin Lunsford and wife, Kristin of Charleston, SC., her parents, William Lacy Hair and Elizabeth Culbreth Hair of Winston-Salem, NC, two sisters, Jeanette H. Boner of Clemmons, NC, Deanie H. Creech of Welcome, NC, a brother, William L. Hair, Jr. of Winston-Salem, father and mother-in-law, Marvin C. Lunsford, Sr., Claudia S. Lunsford, brother in law, Jack Lunsford of Richmond, VA, sister, Sherry L. Davis of Winston-Salem, and many, many friends. The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 pm Sunday, December 11 at Union Ridge United Methodist Church, Winston-Salem. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm in the Church Sanctuary officiated by Rev. Gary Elrod. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Winston-Salem/Forsyth County, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
