Mrs. Elizabeth Snyder Johnson, 93 of Salemtowne Moravian Home, died Friday, November 28, 2008 at her home. Mrs. Johnson was born November 23, 1915 in Forsyth County, a daughter of the late John W. Snyder and the late Treva Shore Snyder. She was an active member of Trinity Moravian Church and had also served as a volunteer at Salemtowne. Elizabeth loved to travel and enjoyed going to numerous countries through the years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Edward ""T.E."" Johnson, Jr. her second husband, Thomas Saylor, and sister, Hilda Williams. Mrs. Johnson is survived by her three sons, Thomas Edward Johnson, III and wife Elaine of Hendersonville, Phillip W. Johnson of Winston-Salem, and Robert W. Johnson and wife Laura of Statesville; sisters, Margaret Harrison of Salemtowne, Anne Foltz and husband Herbert of Salemtowne, and Jane Norris and husband Thomas of Raleigh. Additionally she is survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A worship service celebrating her life will be held 3:00 PM November 30, 2008 at Trinity Moravian Church with Rev. John Jackman and Rev. Patricia F. Garner officiating. Interment will follow in Salem Moravian Graveyard ""God's Acre"". The family will receive friends at 2:00 PM at the church.
