Mrs. Elizabeth Cain Hartman, 77, of Clemmons passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at the Hinkle Hospice Home in Lexington. She was born April 4, 1932 in Davidson County to Floyd Richard and Ethel Mae Bowers Cain. She Retired from Hanes Knitting Company. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hartman was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Alexander Hartman. Surviving are a son, Mitchell G. Hartman, of Clemmons; sisters, Mrs. Norman (Martha) Sells, of Winston-Salem, Mrs. Carlton (Jeanette) Sowers, of Welcome; brothers James B. (Imogene) Cain, of Lexington, Luther (Ruby) Cain of Clemmons, a niece Carla (Mark) Springer, of Lexington, a nephew Robert Sells, of Winston-Salem, and a great nephew Aaron Springer, of Lexington. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Chaplain Charlie Patrick officiating. Burial will follow in Arcadia United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
