Elizabeth Hawks Griffin

Mrs. Elizabeth Lucille Hawks Griffin, 81, passed away Friday, January 29, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was born February 15, 1934 in Forsyth County to the late Bertha Mackey Hawks and Homer Hawks. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Griffin was preceded in death by her husband, Emory Alley Griffin and a sister, Jettie Mae Barr. She is survived by her six children: Roger Griffin, Brenda Griffin, Judy Riley, Becky Aldridge, Denise Griffin, and Ronnie Griffin; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 2 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Chaplain Maurice Briggs officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park.
