Elizabeth Ferreira

KERNERSVILLE -  Mrs. Elizabeth Laurent Ferreira, 93, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at her home. Elizabeth was born on November 10, 1929 in Berkshire County, MA to Lucien and Mary Gero Laurent.

She admired nature and wildlife, providing daily feedings for her deer, birds, squirrels, and even a wild turkey. They all knew where they could find some fresh bread crumbs each day.

Together with her husband, Nelson, Elizabeth patronized many restaurants in Kernersville, with 66 Pizzeria, Cagneys, and Olympic among her favorites.

In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret “Peggy” Regnier, and Elenora Talifaro; and one brother, Lucien Laurent.

Surviving are her husband, Nelson Ferreira; two sons, Nelson Ferreira (Karen), and Richard Ferreira; two daughters, Linda Amazon (Alan), and Kathleen Mazur (Paul); 11 grandchildren;  17 great grandchildren; and was looking forward to a great, great grandson, Colson Brooks, who is due in August 2023.

No formal services have been scheduled.  Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
